SAP-Solution: Security

SAP’s Autonomous Enterprise offers a wide range of opportunities, from Agentic AI to Composable ERP. All the necessary IT tools for this are available in SAP’s portfolio. Ultimately, however, the question of affordability—based on licenses, maintenance, and Digital Access—remains.
As the end of SAP Process Integration (PI) and Process Orchestration (PO) approaches, an issue that has long remained in the background is now taking center stage: integration. Companies often underestimate the effort required for this.
Tabular foundation models seem tailor-made for SAP’s ABAP world. In an ERP system where everything is based on tables, an LLM (Large Language Model) has no place. With TabPFN (Tabular Prior-data Fitted Network), the startup Prior Labs can save SAP’s Autonomous Enterprise.
Many service organizations use S/4 On-Prem as their central system for work orders and billing. SAP Field Service Management (FSM for short) supports field service operations. However, without well-planned integration, data inconsistencies and redundant data storage can quickly arise.
AI knows only one path: to solve a given task optimally and once and for all! What seems like a radical approach to humans is, for the machine, its logical raison d’être. Because AI has no humanistic values, it will continue to optimize until its very end.
When migrating to Rise with SAP, the SAP archive is often overlooked. Companies must design their archives, interfaces, and operations on their own—ArchiveLink or CMIS are crucial for costs, compliance, and future-proofing.
When it comes to SAP Basis automation, the focus is usually on cost savings. However, this does not provide an adequate assessment of the situation. Security and resilience are just as important—in fact, in two ways.
SAP Build Apps as a standalone offering is a thing of the past. Why now, of all times, is still the right time to migrate—and which tools are best suited to reliably bring business, IT, and AI together for the long term.
Integrating AI into SAP is operationally necessary. Since many functions are tied to SAP, the side-by-side model offers a flexible alternative: It decouples AI from the core system and enables it to run in a separate architecture.
At the DSAG Technology Days, it became clear that IT security is no longer an afterthought. AI and increasing networking present SAP users with new challenges - they need to rethink their security strategies.
Companies invest heavily in cyber security, but their most valuable data often remains unprotected. SAP systems, the heart of critical business processes, are often overlooked in penetration tests - a fatal omission that opens the door to attackers.
Heroes and heroines in the background: Under the motto „Heroes and heroines in the background“, PITS 2026 will focus on the people who ensure the digital security of the state and administration on June 16 and 17, 2026. The Public IT Security Congress at the Adlon Berlin will bring together experts from federal, state and local authorities. Today, IT security is a...
