A Rise-with-SAP license is a multidimensional contract. SAP collects at least twice with a Rise contract without any claim to success.
A typical RISE with SAP contract is an agreement to provide full disclosure to the ERP market leader. Following a RISE conversion, the SAP customer has almost only obligations and hardly any rights. Will the EU provide assistance with the implementation of the Data Service Act?
Leading SAP customers such as Hilti, Unilever, and Maersk have selected Workday as their preferred HR solution. Medium-sized SAP customers are still hesitant to make the switch because they have to weigh the benefits of brand loyalty (SAP) against the potential for innovation (Workday).
The SAP Business Technology Platform serves as the central foundation for both current and future ERP solutions. ECC customers are already leveraging this platform for consolidation and customization. It is not feasible to implement S/4 without BTP, as Abap modifications will continue to exist.
When supply chains became fragile and global logistics and production began to stutter, SAP was able to help and win with a comprehensive ERP/SCM. As SAP CEO Klein often emphasized, supply chain planning is one of SAP's strengths.
SAP's objective with RISE and GROW is to provide new and current customers with a pathway to the public cloud. The offerings present a challenge due to their complexity, and many SAP customers would prefer to remain in an on-prem environment with virtualization.
There is no RISE license agreement with SAP. If you opt for the all-in-ERP package, you will be required to sign at least two contracts and follow a dozen web links.
The demand for IT integration has never been greater, and cloud iPaaS is the largest integration platform market trying to meet this demand. There is a lot on offer and, for SAP customers, BTP is a priority, however, there are alternatives such as Boomi.
Given SAP's comprehensive range of ERP and cloud products, it seems surprising that many members of the SAP community criticize the slow pace of digitalization. There is a transformation backlog, perhaps because there is a lack of orientation.
The fundamental technology underlying SAP is still the R/3 Abap tables. However, SAP has long since stopped providing instruction in the field of ERP technology. Additionally, the company displays only a limited willingness to address SAP customers’ concerns and wishes.
From the outset, SAP has encouraged its customers to adopt new technologies and products. Despite the current immaturity of many technologies and products, the pressure to act is increasing.
While this edition of E3 was being sent to the printers, SAP CEO Christian Klein and CFO Dominik Asam presented the latest quarterly figures. As a result, the SAP share price in Frankfurt am Main rose to an all-time high of 222 euros.

Working on the SAP basis is crucial for successful S/4 conversion. 

This gives the Competence Center strategic importance for existing SAP customers. Regardless of the S/4 Hana operating model, topics such as Automation, Monitoring, Security, Application Lifecycle Management and Data Management the basis for S/4 operations.

For the second time, E3 magazine is organizing a summit for the SAP community in Salzburg to provide comprehensive information on all aspects of S/4 Hana groundwork.
