German companies are currently looking for global providers to support them in managing and upgrading their SAP and Hana systems. This is the result of a new study by the Information Services Group (ISG).
The study on SAP Hana and Leonardo found a great deal of uncertainty among existing German SAP customers, as the technology provider from Walldorf will discontinue support for old products by 2025.
In addition to this end of support and because SAP is rapidly introducing new products at the same time, many German companies are looking for SAP service providers to support them in this changeover and create new SAP roadmaps, according to the ISG study.
"For SAP support providers, it is not only important to support German customers on the technology side, but also to advise them on future SAP strategies and roadmaps"
says Andrea Spiegelhoff, Partner at ISG.
The study not only deals with questions about the SAP roadmap. It also finds that many providers provide support for the migration to newer SAP products.
In some cases, large providers also offer cloud-based infrastructures for SAP Hana. These enable customers to use hosted SAP systems. SAP supports this approach as part of its "Cloud First" strategy and with its own Hana Enterprise Cloud offering, according to the ISG study.
However, a switch to cloud-based SAP solutions could require greater standardization than before.
The ISG study evaluated the capabilities of 42 providers in twelve market segments: The study lists Atos as a leader in all twelve quadrants, DXC Technology and Fujitsu in ten, Itelligence in eight and Deutsche Telekom, Syntax and T-Systems in five quadrants.
Capgemini is ranked as a leader in four quadrants, cbs in three and All for One Group, AWS, Camelot ITLab, CubeServ and Microsoft Azure in two quadrants. Accenture, Cancom, Devoteam-Alegri, IBM, Infosys, Innovabee and TCS were each ranked as leaders in one quadrant.
