The Last Mile of HR Digitalization

Personnel data such as name, position, start date, and compensation have long been available in SAP SuccessFactors. Nevertheless, this is often followed by manual work: contracts are drafted, documents are approved, signatures are obtained, and records are filed in the appropriate personnel file.
This is exactly where it’s decided just how consistently HR truly operates digitally. aemplic—which operated in the market as Centric Deutschland until 2026—focuses on this „last mile.“ Its mission is:
„We enhance SAP SuccessFactors.“
This does not mean replacing the central SAP platform. aemplic develops specialized applications for selected HR processes and integrates them closely into the existing SAP landscape.
When Existing SAP Data Is Still in Use
This is particularly evident in HR documents. With Employee File and Document Builder, aemplic combines digital personnel files, document creation, and workflows.
Existing SAP data can be imported directly into document templates. You can control approvals, integrate electronic signatures, and then automatically store the completed documents in Employee File. The applications are based on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and remain technically separate from the SAP core. Joule is integrated as a layer for AI innovations.
The principle is simple: No one should have to enter information that SAP already has a second time.
RATIONAL demonstrates how this works in practice. The company uses Employee File and Document Builder with SAP SuccessFactors. More than 40 types of document templates support various HR processes; among other things, standardized pay stubs are generated for nearly 1,600 employees in Germany.

At CH Media, SuccessFactors, digital personnel files, Document Builder, and electronic signatures are all integrated. The Swiss media company estimates that a workflow for reimbursing continuing education expenses saves 30 to 50 percent of the time.
The examples show that a digital document alone does not constitute a digital process. The benefits arise when data, creation, approval, signing, and archiving work together—and, as far as possible, within the system itself, to avoid interfaces and potential sources of error.
Centric is becoming aemplic
The portfolio is now backed by a new brand. Centric IT Solutions and Centric Cloud Solutions were legally merged in 2026 and now operate as aemplic GmbH.
The name stands for „Automated Employee Lifecycle.“ It brings together under one brand two areas of expertise that have often been viewed separately: HR document processes and audit & compliance.
For existing customers, the name change does not mean a fresh start. Products and services will continue as before. What is new is the shared focus on the employee lifecycle.
The tagline „We enhance SAP SuccessFactors“ also reflects this logic: SuccessFactors remains the central platform. aemplic adds additional functional depth to specialized processes—such as digital personnel files, document generation, signatures, and data quality.
When Digitalization Also Means Control
The quality of the underlying data is also a key component of end-to-end HR processes. With its proprietary solutions, aemplic also supports companies in the automated verification of payroll and master data. Anomalies are highlighted, allowing business users to focus on the cases that actually require review.
With AuditLoop, aemplic is further developing this audit expertise for new and hybrid SAP landscapes. The application is also based on SAP BTP; proven functions from the SAP HCM ecosystem are being gradually adapted for the new platform. Automation does not replace professional oversight; rather, it makes it more systematic.
Opportunities for SAP Partners
This new focus also opens up additional opportunities for SAP partners. Consulting firms support customers with SuccessFactors implementations, HCM transformations, or optimizations. Specialized aemplic solutions can enhance such projects when document processes or payroll quality become key considerations. aemplic supports resellers and implementation partners with training, pre-sales expertise, and joint marketing activities, among other things.
This means that a SuccessFactors implementation can be planned with a view to the future, beyond the go-live of the central platform.
From a System to a Functioning Process
The final stage of HR digitization doesn't begin where SAP SuccessFactors ends. It begins where the central platform meets the realities of day-to-day work.
If SAP already has a piece of information, it shouldn't be entered again. If a process knows who needs to take the next step, no one should have to follow up with an email. And if data stands out, HR should be notified before it becomes a problem.
This is precisely the area that aemplic addresses with specialized SAP-native solutions—in collaboration with SAP customer companies and partners.
