The Emarsys platform enables companies to engage with their customers in a more personalized way. By expanding its portfolio in the area of customer experience, SAP will in future enable its customers to make personalized contact with end customers in real time - across all communication channels.
Companies are thus supported in making every interaction with their customers relevant and effective. "Including Emarsys in our customer experience portfolio and combining it with S/4 Hana and Qualtrics is a big step forward for this market," said Christian Klein, Managing Director of SAP.
"Our goal is to offer a 'commerce anywhere' portfolio that allows our customers to communicate digitally and in a personalized way with end customers across all channels and at any time."
Emarsys was founded in Vienna by Supervisory Board Chairman Josef Ahorner, Hagai Hartman and Daniel Harari. The company is to become part of the SAP Customer Experience business unit. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2020, subject to regulatory approval. The purchase price and other financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed.
