The EU Commission has opened a formal investigation to assess whether SAP may have distorted competition in the aftermarket for maintenance and support services related to an on-premises type of software, licensed by SAP, used for the management of companies' business operations, in the European Economic Area.

International business is of central importance for the mechanical engineering company Windmöller & Hölscher. To enable international reselling directly via the subsidiaries, W&H is introducing a global template for all sales and service entities with the support of cbs.
NTT Data has introduced the "SAP Integration with SiGreen" solution as part of the Siemens Xcelerator Business Platform. Siemens SiGreen is a solution for data communication in the supply chain.
SAP Group Reporting promises to compile all relevant data from all sources for financial reports. The introduction of the consolidation tool in the engineering division of Linde, a global industrial gases and engineering company, shows how it can be implemented during ongoing operations.

IT Management

Since the end of last year, one of the largest EWM projects has been running live at SAP customer Phoenix Contact. The long-established company has since benefited from a highly efficient material flow in its distribution center.
Companies need a functioning IT landscape to ensure smooth business processes. In order to guarantee this, system environments need to be tested regularly—despite increased automation efforts, this is often still a small-scale and time-consuming task.
