Trends in archiving 2025

With the right software, this data could be turned into data gold for appropriate analysis. In 2025, those archiving specialists with a deep understanding of SAP and a large user group who can provide their customers with the first low-hanging fruits in AI cases for archiving will score points with AI.
3. Compliance remains a must: Due to new data protection laws and stricter compliance guidelines, companies are increasingly relying on archive solutions that guarantee long-term storage under the highest security standards. SAP archives must be designed in such a way that these regulations can be adhered to.
4. Marriage between SAP and SharePoint: The need for a single point of truth for accessing archived documents is increasing. Large systems such as SAP and SharePoint in particular need to be married when it comes to data and document archiving. Platforms that consolidate archive data from different sources and enable centralized management will therefore be even more in demand in 2025 than before.
