SAP Solution: Luka Mucic

A change of era at SAP as well: Luka Mucic, a veteran, is leaving the ERP world market leader and, similar to ex-CEO Jim Hagemann Snabe and his CFO predecessor Werner Brand, he will not be returning to SAP. Gerd Oswald remains an exception.
The cover of Harvard Business Manager read: Can you be a CEO? A particularly relevant question in the SAP community. Since CEO Professor Henning Kagermann, many people have taken the CEO chair, sometimes in pairs.
SAP is managed excellently by Christian Klein and his colleagues on the Executive Board. However, accents and milestones are not set by the SAP Executive Board. The presentation of Hana and the current ERP version was ten years ago. SAP does not need officialdom, it needs leadership.
SAP CEO Christian Klein is making an honest effort. He has eliminated many construction sites. He has reorganized and established a new management style. But comprehensive success and a clear strategy are still missing. Professor Hasso Plattner is growing impatient.
CFO Luka Mucic is leaving SAP next year. The Executive Board member and CFO has negotiated his resignation with the Supervisory Board in order to reposition himself professionally. Numerous supervisory board positions await.
No monthly SAP news should be disregarded. The Short Facts are dedicated to smaller news items as well as seemingly more or less important statements from the community. This is the place for SAP-specific press releases that otherwise tend to be overlooked.
The legendary Focus co-founder and editor-in-chief Helmut Markwort coined: Facts, facts, facts and think of the readers. For SAP CEO Christian Klein, it's facts, facts, facts, and thinking of the community.
How many existing SAP customers really opt for the cloud of their own free will when access to on-prem solutions becomes almost impossible?
On October 13, 2021, SAP published its preliminary figures for the third quarter. The Handelsblatt derived a success for SAP from the S/4 Hana cloud figures and postulated: SAP can do cloud!
Two weeks ago, I wrote a commentary on SAP's acquisition of Berlin-based startup Signavio (https://e3zine.com/sap-and-signavio-not-everything-that-glitters-is-gold/). I called the text "fool's gold" - also known as fool's gold. Commentary-wise, I was suggesting that the SAP purchase decision may not have been the most considered. Because there are obviously many Signavio friends and fans in the SAP community, I had to respond to the shitstorm....
SAP has once again given a surprising presentation of how the digital transformation to Hana and S/4 will ultimately succeed. The vast majority of existing customers have stopped counting how many concepts, rules and instructions SAP has invented in recent years for the upcoming S/4 release change. With the conversion method, many users assumed, the egg of Columbus had been found, but...
Although SAP's Capital Markets Day was themed "Growth and Operational Excellence," the focus was clearly on customers.

Working on the SAP basis is crucial for successful S/4 conversion.

This gives the Competence Center strategic importance for existing SAP customers. Regardless of the S/4 Hana operating model, topics such as Automation, Monitoring, Security, Application Lifecycle Management and Data Management the basis for S/4 operations.

For the second time, E3 magazine is organizing a summit for the SAP community in Salzburg to provide comprehensive information on all aspects of S/4 Hana groundwork.
