Solutive AG and ESM Suite

The ESM Suite offers Solutive's customers preconfigured, ITIL-based processes for SAP Change & Release Management, enriched with their own best practices and integrated into SAP Transport Management. At the same time, any approach (releases, projects, DevOps) is supported. The preconfigured processes, together with our own workflow engine and API framework, enable a very fast and flexible implementation of the ESM Suite. Including the integration of an (ITSM) pre-system, our current benchmark is a project runtime of just eight weeks until go-live!

The ESM Suite offers flexible deployment options and its multi-client capability also effectively supports group and service provider scenarios.

Consistent digitalization and automation

The ESM Suite realizes potential with fully automated import cycles and transport checks and contributes to increasing the quality and availability of production systems. Established customer solutions such as Jira, Signavio, any test suites etc. can be easily integrated into a seamlessly integrated requirement-to-deploy process, resulting in process acceleration and the avoidance of media breaks and manual transfers. Automatic status transitions, notifications and workflow scenarios contribute to this acceleration.

Compliance Support

Transport requests that are not managed via the ESM Suite are detected and actively reported. The audit trail covering the entire causal chain from a request to the transport request is made available in a detailed report at the touch of a button. Access via the Audit Cockpit is available for the auditor's visit so that samples can be taken independently. The costs for preparation and implementation support are minimized by using the ESM Suite.

SAP ALM strategy

The end of maintenance for SAP Solution Manager is approaching mercilessly. Therefore, dealing with the future SAP ALM strategy should be on the agenda today. Even supposedly pure IT optimizations must be seriously designed, planned and implemented. However, requirement management and test management also require the involvement of the specialist departments. So what are the future challenges for the company in SAP Application Lifecycle Management or Enterprise Software Management? And how can I implement them step by step?

Solutive AG and suxxesso GmbH

We have entered into a strategic partnership with the SAP test automation specialist suxxesso GmbH. suxxesso's claim to provide the most user-friendly test automation tool for SAP fits in very well with Solutive AG's best-in-class ambition for its ESM Suite.

The partnership initially comprised mutual support in the sale of the respective solution. Solutive has quickly developed into a premium partner in test management consulting based on the suxxesso Tool Suite and supports customers in test strategy development, operational test management for S/4HANA programs and projects as well as in other special topics including E2E test automation.

SEE:RI

Our roadmap includes a co-innovation with suxxesso in the field of test scope analysis. The acronym SEE:RI stands for See Related Items. The jointly developed functionality analyzes the transport requests associated with the ESM Suite changes or releases and the technical objects they contain. ESM Suite then identifies relevant test cases on the suxxesso side, which are provided in a test plan that can be executed by ESM Suite with automated test cases (via suxxesso).

An automated test approach alone brings numerous advantages in terms of time and resource savings, especially for employees in the specialist departments. The additional advantages resulting from SEE:RI are manifold, starting with the transparency of affected business processes, the test scope can be sharpened and thus the security and stability of the solutions increased. Test case management is also supported by the scope analysis.

With the timely implementation of suxxesso GmbH to also support manual test processes with its tool suite, the strategic partnership creates the vision of a powerful best-of-breed ALM suite for test management (including test automation), change and release management.

In the final expansion stage, SEE:RI will provide the following use cases:

• Automatic generation of a test plan for changed objects
• Identify test cases affected by the changes that need to be updated
• Identification of whitespots: Do test cases exist for the changed objects?
• Determination of test coverage: Determination of objective test coverage against real use in the production system
• Reporting: Overview of test cases / test plans for changes / releases in the ESM Suite
  

Non-SAP outlook

The solution landscapes of SAP customers are and will remain heterogeneous. In order to be able to offer holistic software change management beyond SAP, Solutive AG is planning to offer GIT-based application lifecycle management for SAP and non-SAP in the ESM Suite from 2025. At the same time, CI/CD pipeline management is to be optimized through automation.
