SAP in Wonderland

SAP CEO Christian Klein and his colleague from the Executive Board were in Davos at the World Economic Forum, but they were neither visible nor audible. US President Donald Trump stole the show from almost everyone. The economic summit in the Swiss mountains turned into a political spectacle.
Serious and complex discussions about AI, the EU Cloud Act, security, and other IT topics have a hard time getting traction here. After a week in Davos, however, the SAP community expected more than a vague essay titled "Paradoxes in the Age of AI," which SAP CEO Christian Klein published on the WEF website. SAP remained silent!
It seems that SAP is avoiding the international stage and would rather disappear down the rabbit hole. Where is SAP? Even Hasso Plattner the cat is no longer providing information. Like Alice in Wonderland, the SAP community will have to search for SAP.
Why? Because SAP customers need answers about their future ERP planning. A promise of service until 2040 is not enough. Alice got lost down the rabbit hole, but with the help of the Hatter and his family, she found her way. Who can provide the SAP community with guidance and roadmaps?
SAP showers its customers and partners with new IT tools, AI offerings, and cloud adaptations every month. While SAP's offerings are colorful and loud, they lack structure and perspective. Alice had to learn her way around Wonderland. SAP shouldn't make it so difficult for customers. Clear rules and an ERP perspective for the last 20 years are not a luxury.
