SAP has many cloud ideas
In an environment where a release upgrade can take several years, this behavior is counterproductive. SAP's cloud platforms of the past few years can hardly be counted. It has always been cloud computing, but with changing product names in each case. SAP's latest press release is thus unsurprisingly "Cloud success: SAP redesigns service and support offerings." The proven offerings, including MaxAttention, Preferred Success and Enterprise Support, will remain. Essential, Advanced and Select Success Experience will be added as supplements and replacements.
Now the existing SAP customer could relax and say: Names are just smoke and mirrors. But new products and product names have an immediate impact on the SAP price list, and it is already complicated. To give customers maximum flexibility, SAP is providing the aforementioned three "Success Experience" tiers, which are designed to accommodate individual customer requirements and implementation approaches. What SAP has not yet revealed is whether there will also be an Essential, Advanced and Select Rise with SAP. Accordingly, there is still a lot of "room for improvement" here in order to ultimately lead SAP's existing customers into the cloud, or even just to further confuse them.
