SAP for Me with Rise and Grow

Making SAP innovations usable
SAP has not been lazy in recent years. Acquisitions, cooperations and in-house developments have created a bazaar of ERP solutions and IT tools. Only very few experts currently have a comprehensive overview. Did SAP want too much at once?
The proliferation of AI tools, data platforms and cloud solutions can no longer be denied in the SAP universe. SAP CTO Philipp Herzig praised himself and SAP at the DSAG Technology Days 2025 in Wiesbaden for its efforts and solutions in the field of artificial intelligence. In total, SAP has provided almost 300 AI apps in recent months. Philipp Herzig interpreted this as SAP's new innovative strength.
Never before has SAP had so many apps, engines and IT tools in its portfolio. DSAG Chief Technology Officer Sebastian Westphal therefore addressed the topic in Wiesbaden: What and which apps should be used to solve specific ERP challenges? An ERP system is not a self-sufficient construct.
With the SAP BDC, Business Data Cloud, announced at the Business Unleashed event in New York, USA, in February, SAP is focusing on the elements of processes, data and AI with the aim of providing efficient process chains. In addition, more and more diverse end-to-end business processes are also being offered in the cloud by combining the most diverse and heterogeneous IT stacks and cloud services on the basis of the BTP. "Even though SAP is undoubtedly working on harmonizing and integrating its solution portfolio, a consistent architecture is the key to success for the envisaged Business Suite. To achieve this, SAP must continue to harmonize the product landscape and consistently implement uniform standards, e.g. for data models and identity and security services. By definition, a suite requires the seamless integration of the SAP solutions it contains, uniform operating models and clear migration and implementation strategies along the way," says DSAG Technology Director Sebastian Westphal.
Exit strategy: SAP for Me
For the orchestration of on-prem architectures, hybrid, private or public cloud structures, SAP customers need an overview and clarity. The SAP dashboard "SAP for Me" can provide the necessary transparency.
SAP for Me is a young product and not yet fully programmed in every nook and cranny. There are still functional limitations and questions about the authorization concept, but many experts believe that SAP is on the right track. There is already an iPhone app: with the mobile application SAP for Me for the iPhone, existing SAP customers can interact with their own ERP anytime and anywhere. With this app, the CCoE manager can keep an eye on their SAP product portfolio in one place.
With SAP for Me, employees from the CCoE have a digital companion that enables them to interact easily with SAP and immediately displays solutions. SAP for Me bundles important alerts, key figures and information on the company's own ERP product portfolio via a single access point.
SAP Customer Evolution
The direction in which the SAP community is moving is still an open question. With new answers such as the relaunch of the SAP Business Suite and SAP Business Data Cloud, many ERP paths are also opening up outside of S/4. In the coming years, the CCC/CCoE Head, Customer Center of Expertise, will be faced with many questions. Hybrid ERP architectures and composable ERP will pose new challenges in terms of IT architecture, transparency, automation and orchestration.
The SAP Competence Center Summit 2025 in Salzburg on May 21 and 22 provides answers! During the two days in Salzburg, the AI topics of automation and monitoring, SolMan, Cloud ALM, SAP for Me and, of course, the future tasks of the CCoE with Rise and Grow will be discussed. Register now, because the future of your ERP system is at stake!
