SAP Certified - Powered by SAP NetWeaver

In the SAP service note (https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/%201648480), NetWeaver 7.5 will be discontinued: The end for the Java stack will come in 2024 and for the Abap stack in 2025.
Theoretically, there can be no Business Suite on Hana (SoH) after that, because the "ECC 6.0" core of Business Suite 7 requires NetWeaver 7.5. What now? The official answer from SAP:
"Customers who have purchased Business Suite 7 or Business Suite on HANA along with the corresponding solutions will, of course, not lose their right of use at the end of 2025. What happens after that will be officially announced in due course."
This answer is perfectly correct and yet reveals the entire catastrophe: no SoH system will vanish into thin air or grind to a halt on 1/1/2026!
But what is the legal situation after 2025 in the event of a warranty claim? What about service and support? Is a maintenance fee still payable for SoH despite the discontinuation of NetWevaer 7.5?
An insider confirmed to E-3 magazine that unfortunately there are still talks going on internally at SAP and also with DSAG, which have not yet yielded any results. The DSAG is also aware of the problem, see also https://e3mag.com/2019/09/19/und-sie-bewegt-sich-doch/.
The real problem is the "short term". For an existing SAP customer with several thousand SoH users, 2025 is already the day after tomorrow. Even a technical release upgrade from SoH to S/4, including user training and testing, can take several years to plan and implement.
It is therefore once again not surprising that SAP's existing customers have little confidence in SAP's roadmap, as the DSAG summer survey from this year revealed.
The DSAG survey shows that 30 percent of members are convinced that SAP strategies and roadmaps cannot withstand any stress and are therefore not trustworthy (23 percent disagree less and seven percent disagree at all about the resilience and trust in SAP).
Only a quarter of respondents trust SAP. 45 percent of DSAG members partially agree with SAP's strategies and roadmaps.
