Hans-Jörg Berndt new at Data Migration Services

Data Migration Services is further expanding its channel activities in sales with Hans-Jörg Berndt. Berndt has many years of experience in SAP implementation and migration. He comes from GE Switzerland, where he was Senior Program Director responsible for the digital programs of the Power Service Business.
Prior to that, he held various management positions at Alstom, including head of the global SAP organization. Berndt is already familiar with the products and management team of Data Migration Services from his previous professional positions.
In his sales activities at Data Migration Services, he will focus on expanding indirect sales. In winning new channel partners, he will benefit from his solid background in SAP.

Until recently, the company relied primarily on international consulting firms as partners. Due to the high demand for solutions for decommissioning legacy systems, Berndt and his team are expected to recruit 40 to 50 new implementation partners in German-speaking countries.
Software AG appoints new CTO, CPO and CMO



Software AG has announced that Wolfram Jost, who as Chief Technology Officer developed the company's technology for digital transformation, will leave Software AG to pursue new opportunities.
His successor, Bernd Gross, will assume the position of CTO of Software AG with immediate effect. Bernd Gross is a proven expert in business innovation in major industries enabled by the Internet of Things in combination with analytics and integration software.
In addition, Stefan Sigg, a member of Software AG's Executive Board, will serve in an expanded role as Chief Product Officer, responsible for all areas of Software AG's product portfolio, including product management, product development and support.
Software AG further announced that Paz Macdonald will join Software AG as Chief Marketing Officer. Paz Macdonald has experience in technology marketing and was most recently Vice President of Marketing EMEA and APAC at MongoDB, a fast-growing hybrid cloud database software provider. She will work from Software AG's UK headquarters and report directly to the CEO.
Michael Henke admitted to acatech

The German Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech) has admitted Michael Henke to the circle of acatech members. Following Michael ten Hompel (2011) and Prof. Axel Kuhn (2012), Henke is thus the third representative of Fraunhofer IML to be admitted to acatech.
Henke holds the Chair of Corporate Logistics at the Technical University of Dortmund and is Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML. New members are admitted to the German Academy of Science and Engineering by election.
The prerequisites are a high scientific reputation and the willingness to work in the acatech thematic networks and projects. Membership is only open to those who are proposed to the Selection Committee by one of the Academy's members. In addition, the proposal is reviewed.
Following the endorsement of the Executive Board and the positive vote of the General Assembly, a new member is admitted. The academy advises both politics and society on matters of technology science and technology policy.
New dual leadership at rku.it

The Supervisory Board and shareholders have appointed Simone Hessel as Managing Director of rku.it. From February 2019, she will take over the management of the company together with the previous Managing Director Werner Dieckmann.

Hessel underscores this as follows:

Sales changes at Veeam

Veeam Software has a new sales manager for its German business. As Director Commercial Sales Germany, Matthias Frühauf (left) has been responsible for medium-sized to large companies and public authorities in Germany since August.
The "Enterprise" business with strategic key accounts remains the responsibility of Georg Hübbers. Frühauf's previous responsibilities have now been taken over by Thomas Sandner (Wed.) as Senior Regional Presales Manager CEMEA (Central EMEA).
He was succeeded in October by Boris Urban (right), who is now Presales Manager Germany and responsible for advising partner companies and potential customers in Germany.

Fede Bareto has been appointed global chief financial officer of Getronics. Bareto will lead the entire global finance team. The goal is to accelerate growth while focusing on financial discipline and cash management.
Marc Zimmermann will remain Managing Director at MHP Management- und IT-Beratung for another five years. The business graduate and the Porsche subsidiary jointly agreed to extend his contract early until mid-2024.
With Thomas Timm, Teradata has gained an experienced manager as its new head of Germany. Effective immediately, Timm has overall responsibility for Teradata in Germany. He has more than 30 years of experience in the IT industry.
Siegfried Kaiser is the new product manager for e-government at Ceyoniq Technology. Kaiser brings a wealth of experience to the company, particularly in the areas of e-files, case processing, replacement scanning and electronic signatures.
Andreas Heil represents Workrate, a data center security expert, as Managing Director Germany in the new office in Bad Homburg. As Managing Director Germany, Andreas Heil is responsible for the local business and maintains close contact with the management in the Netherlands.
Walter Schinnerer becomes the new DSAG board member in Austria. The IT expert is to help clarify questions from the Austrian DSAG members on digital transformation and the scope of the role that SAP itself plays in this.
