SAP's new head of security
Justin Somaini has taken on the role of chief security officer at SAP. Somaini joins from cloud provider Box, where he held the role of chief trust officer. Prior to that, he held senior positions at Yahoo and Symantec, among others. Somaini has more than 20 years of professional experience in the IT security industry.

Especially in view of the changing threat potential, purely passive defense measures are no longer sufficient by far. It is therefore crucial to detect security gaps as early as possible and to close them quickly.
"Early detection" is thus gaining in importance, as is the development of tools that can be used to efficiently eliminate threats. That's why SAP has developed a three-tier, holistic security approach to safeguard its own operations and meet high security standards in its software - the three pillars Prevent, Detect, and React.

Change in management at Itelligence
Herbert Vogel, founder and CEO of Itelligence, will retire in July 2016. Norbert Rotter, who has been Chief Financial Officer for many years, will succeed him as CEO of the company on July 1.
In 1989, Vogel founded S&P Consult as a start-up in Bielefeld and has since been Managing Director or a member of the company's Management Board, and from January 2001 Chairman of the Management Board of Itelligence. Rotter, who holds a degree in business administration, initially began his career in 1995 at the Bielefeld branch of the international auditing company KPMG.
From 2000 onwards, he worked from New York as a KPMG manager looking after German subsidiaries on the American market. In 2004, he became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and was then licensed as an auditor for the US market. He has been a member of the Management Board of Itelligence since 2008. As Chief Financial Officer, he was also responsible for mergers and acquisitions, in particular international expansion.
Rotter is married and has three children. Atos appoints Jon Pritchard as CEO of Unify
Jon Pritchard is the new CEO of Unify, a communications software and services subsidiary of Atos. In his new position, he is also a member of the Atos Executive Committee.
He has overall responsibility for Unify's strategy and business direction, as well as its global execution. Pritchard has been in the IT industry for more than 25 years. He brings extensive business strategy, process and indirect channel experience to his new role as CEO.
Most recently, he was executive vice president of channels at Unify, responsible for all indirect sales activities. Pritchard has been instrumental in driving Unify's transformation into a channel-focused company.
Barbara Cadigan manages Talend's human resources processes
Talend, a provider of Big Data integration software, has appointed Barbara Cadigan as senior vice president of people. She will be responsible for talent acquisition and people processes worldwide and reports directly to Mike Tuchen, the company's CEO.
She brings more than 20 years of experience in human resources. Over the past decade, she has held a variety of roles with ever-expanding responsibilities at Electronic Arts. Most recently, she was Vice President of Human Resources at EA Studios, leading talent strategy for an organization of 3000 employees in 14 locations worldwide. Prior to her time at Electronic Arts, Cadigan was Human Resources Manager at Advanced Micro Devices.
SAP appoints two new Executive Board members
Stefan Ries will continue in his role as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), but will also assume the role of Labor Director in the future. He has been a member of SAP's Global Managing Board since May 2014.
Since 2002, Ries has worked in various global HR functions for SAP.
As head of the business networks division, Steve Singh will continue to report to Ariba, Fieldglass and Concur, the companies acquired by SAP in recent years. He also retains the role as CEO of Concur, which SAP acquired in December 2014.
Enrico Palumbo becomes HR Director of SAP Switzerland
Enrico Palumbo has been appointed Head of Human Resources at SAP Switzerland, reporting directly to Ernesto Marinelli, Head of Human Resources SAP MEE. In his new role, Palumbo is a member of the Executive Board of SAP Switzerland. He succeeds Vlasta Dusil, who is taking on the role of HR Director SAP India within the Group.
Palumbo has worked in human resources for more than 14 years, during which time he has held various management and consulting positions in a wide range of countries in Europe and Asia. He joined SAP in 2002.
In 2007, Palumbo left SAP and worked as a consulting manager at Accenture, among others. Palumbo holds a master's degree in politics, economics and intercultural communication. He is married and has two children.
There has been a change in German management at Teradata, a provider of Big Data analytics and integrated marketing solutions: Sascha Puljic is now Country Manager Germany and Managing Director of Teradata Germany.
NTT Data expands its Austria management: Klaus Schmid, most recently CEO of Capgemini Austria, is the new CEO. He succeeds the previous sole managing director Martin Mai. With Oliver Breithut, the company also gets a new COO.
VMware has appointed Rajiv Ramaswami as general manager and executive vice president in its networking and security business. He succeeds Martin Casado. Ramaswami was most recently general manager and executive vice president of Broadcom Corporation's Infrastructure and Networking Group.
Achim Schneider is Global Head Retail Industry Business Unit, responsible for SAP's retail customers. He reports directly to Lori Mitchell-Keller, Global General Manager of Consumer Industries. He brings over 17 years of retail solutions experience to SAP.
SAP Gold Partner ATSP has a new Head of Sales & Consulting for Switzerland in Ralph Jordi. Jordi had started at ATSP just six months earlier. His main focus will be predominantly on the healthcare sector. He is responsible for the entire solution portfolio.
Rob Hetherington is the new Head of Financial Services Industries at
SAP. In this role, he will be responsible for SAP's global business strategy in Financial Services. Previously, he was General Manager Financial Services Business of SAP EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
