Order Management and Accounts Payable certified for SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Esker has once again received SAP certification for its Order Management and Accounts Payable solutions. What does this mean for you?

(Re-)certification is very important for our customers. It guarantees that the integration scenario has been tested by SAP and that a standard set of functions is available. The integration continues to work even when the SAP landscape is upgraded.

What exactly is tested during such a certification?

Among other things, the type and stability of the technical integration and conformity with SAP guidelines are tested. Does the data exchange with the SAP system work? For the invoice receipt solution, for example, this means: data on vendors, account assignment elements and purchase orders. Finally, the posting of an invoice or purchase order in SAP is tested.

Why did you seek certification for the SAP S/4HANA® Cloud platform, which is not yet very widespread?

Esker has been carrying out implementations with well-known integration methods such as BAPIs and RFCs for more than 15 years. For the cloud version of SAP S/4HANA, our integration is based on web services. It is important to us to take this method into account for certification. We support the SAP strategy of equipping the SAP S/4HANA Cloud with future-oriented technologies such as artificial intelligence and promoting it on the market. 

Then you assume that SAP S/4HANA Cloud will prevail in the long term?

Among our customers in the USA, for example, we are seeing a trend towards migration to the cloud version. But no matter how the replacement of SAP R/3 develops:
Esker is just as well positioned for integration in the on-premise variant as it is for the two cloud variants of SAP S/4HANA.
