The acquisition of Carbonite will extend OpenText's market leadership in Enterprise Information Management (EIM). It complements OpenText's existing security offerings in data loss prevention, digital forensics, endpoint detection and response with Carbonite's data protection and endpoint security solutions. The acquisition also adds significantly to OpenText's cloud business and complements the company's market access.
