New RDS quick start packages

HR departments are moving to the cloud faster than expected because they want to benefit from standardization and simplification. The move should be quick and smooth.

explained Mike Ettling, who is responsible for HR solutions at SuccessFactors.
"The new solutions in our RDS offering provide flexibility and real-time insights for more efficient HR processes.
They can be flexibly expanded to meet short-term requirements. At the same time, it is possible to plan future personnel decisions."
Addition to the RDS solution suite
The new quick-start packages complement SuccessFactors' established RDS solution suite, which includes:
SuccessFactors Recruiting RDS, SuccessFactors Compensation RDS, SAP Best Practices for SuccessFactors Employee Central Third-Party Integration, and SAP Payroll Control Center RDS.
With these additional solutions in SuccessFactors' RDS portfolio, customers can move their HR processes to the cloud and make them more efficient and flexible.
New functions
Back in August, SAP introduced new features to its SuccessFactors HCM suite. These are changing the delivery of HR services from the ground up: Instead of individual isolated self-services, users now have access to end-to-end intelligent services designed to overcome the limitations of individual software modules and processes.
Intelligent services are designed to anticipate, link, and automatically match transactions resulting from any personnel change to the user.
For the individual employee, this should mean less effort and greater user convenience. At the same time, the company can reduce the use of shared services - and the associated costs.
"We have evolved the previous self-services, many of which left the user to their own devices, into software-based intelligent services"
says Mike Ettling, who is responsible for HR solutions at SuccessFactors.
"In this way, we reduce the complexity of typical HR processes and help employees to act more independently. Ultimately, this also reduces the costs of shared services and outsourced business processes."
The intelligent services are managed in the new SuccessFactors Event Center. Transactions that relate to a single personnel event, but nevertheless span multiple systems and software modules, are now linked thanks to the services.
When a personnel change occurs, managers or HR executives no longer have to think through the necessary steps themselves or contact a shared services center.
Instead, the SuccessFactors solution manages these steps and saves managers and employees valuable time. To give a concrete example:
Personnel changes in the core HR system SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central can be automatically forwarded to other SuccessFactors solutions, such as for further training or performance appraisals, or even to third-party systems.
Employees benefit from greater simplicity and efficiency in the workplace. Especially companies that are subject to many changes can thus better cope with personnel changes and reduce the costs of shared services or outsourced processes.
The software supports 16 predefined personnel changes, including promotion to manager, leave of absence, hiring, termination, and changes in employee profile or job profile.
Additional scenarios are planned for future versions. In addition, SuccessFactors HCM Suite can be connected to external systems to enable seamless integration with third-party applications.
HR administrators can also easily configure smart services based on rules and settings for notifications in SuccessFactors Event Center
