Don't forget the SAP partner community!

The new management structure at SAP under the leadership of Christian Klein shows a clear gain in efficiency: "I am very proud that our teams successfully mastered the very difficult environment and achieved a better quarterly result than expected. [...] In line with our strategy, we continue to invest in our growth engines, such as industry-specific cloud," said SAP CEO Christian Klein on the preliminary Q2 2020 results. CFO Luka Mucic added: "SAP's broad solution portfolio, our unparalleled diversification in terms of industries and geographic regions, and the high proportion of more predictable revenue enabled us to cope well with the Corona crisis this quarter. Our rapid response to the crisis on the cost side drove strong operating profit and margin growth."
SAP's large cloud partners are also satisfied with what has been achieved. At E-3 Magazine, we hear less encouraging news from the thousands of small and medium-sized SAP partners. Particularly in the upper partner segment, they still seem to be searching for suitable strategies. The positioning of the company's own offering is not yet complete here: NTT Data is attempting to consolidate with its subsidiary Itelligence, although the "chemistry" here may not yet be quite right. Allgeier and Nagarro are much better positioned and are also very successful globally (details in the E-3 cover story November 2020). Freudenberg IT has been absorbed into the global IT service provider Syntax and has since disappeared from the SAP community scene. The visibility and presence of many SAP partners declined during the Covid 19 pandemic - but the SAP community needs all these partners, their knowledge and services. So let's not forget the strong foundation of our successful community of values.
