Fiori Mobile and Cloud Edition

The planned SAP Fiori apps are optimized for mobile use and are delivered via the cloud. This will enable companies to interact with their employees, customers and partners via any device and channel.

Now available in controlled availability, the cloud edition of Fiori is planned as a new Hana Cloud Platform service for easier implementation and adoption of Fiori.

Customers can thus extend and modernize their local SAP Business Suite solution. In conjunction with this service, various SAP Fiori apps - for human resources (HR), customer relationship management (CRM), and retail, among others - will be made available.

These cover commonly used use cases such as approval processes for managers and self-services for employees. With Fiori, Cloud Edition and Fiori Mobile available as a technical service on the Hana Cloud Platform, SAP is expanding its portfolio that includes the on-premise SAP Mobile Platform for apps, Fiori as an on-premise solution and now Fiori as a service offering.

Fiori Mobile Service

Another planned service for the Hana Cloud Platform is Fiori Mobile Service. It is designed to help customers optimize Fiori to improve the performance and use of mobile applications and thus increase employee productivity.

The new service, available in a controlled manner, provides assistance in managing, securing, activating, and testing Fiori apps. The goal of the Fiori Cloud Edition and Fiori Mobile Service is to simplify the adoption of Fiori and extend the business value of the award-winning user interface for SAP software across the enterprise.

The new services are based on the Hana Cloud Platform and are designed as an end-to-end solution for extending, customizing, managing and deploying Fiori apps.

With Fiori Mobile Service, users will be able to interact with Fiori more easily via apps on their mobile devices. These apps provide support for push notifications, app security, access to native device features, and offline access to user interfaces and data.

Hybrid applications

Developers have the ability to build cross-platform hybrid applications and more easily control advanced features such as offline access to data and native device functionality.

SAP Web Integrated Development Environment (IDE) enables easy extension of applications and development of new SAP Fiori apps via a web-based development environment that does not need to be installed on local systems.
