End-to-end management
Commerz Real is the first German asset manager to rely on Rise with SAP
Commerz Real is the first German asset manager to successively convert all key business processes to the SAP software solution for enterprise management S/4. This is being done in combination with the Business Technology Platform (BTP) integration and development platform. The aim is to handle the complete management of all assets as well as all data and processes of Commerzbank's real estate subsidiary cloud-based in the future, including transactions and valuations. To this end, Commerz Real is relying on the full-service offering Rise. SAP will support the entire implementation as well as the operation and technical support of S/4 in the cloud.
"With the complete package of SAP S/4 Hana and SAP BTP, we will take a big step forward in digitalization and our processes will become significantly faster and more efficient," explains Nikolaus Schmidt, Head of Technology and Innovation at Commerz Real. A key advantage of the enterprise management solution is a simplified data model.
"This is a real benefit for our asset and transaction management," Schmidt is certain. Other advantages include ease of use, which allows employees to develop and customize applications themselves without programming knowledge, and the use of digital assistants, so-called avatars, when using the platform. Overall, Commerz Real expects business processes to be accelerated and simplified, resulting in greater efficiency. "This will make our products and services more dynamic," predicts Schmidt.
The schedule envisages migration to the SAP private cloud by the end of 2023 and conversion of the first business units by mid-2024. The cloud infrastructure in turn runs on Microsoft Azure, operated by SAP. The entire business processes are to be completely converted to S/4 by 2027 at the latest. Commerz Real's treasury management system has already been working with SAP Hana since 2020.
