Data is the new gold

First example: An S/4 conversion is pending and the data from ECC 6.0 and AnyDB needs to be cleaned up and archived. Now you realize that data without associated business processes has no value. A holistic data transfer to Hana is impossible, and continuing to operate an SAP ECC shadow system is not economical. The data needs the appropriate business logic.
Second example, exit from the cloud: The data is downloaded to on-prem storage, but the business logic, i.e. the S/4 licenses, remain in the cloud. This is not a solution if the business processes remain in the cloud and the data rests on an on-premises database.
Thus, data is not the new gold, but at best the new oil, as fuel for business processes. Data and processes belong together - only those who solve this junction have an answer to S/4 conversion.
End-to-end processes determine the field of activity in IT departments. The task is to connect the SAP world with the non-SAP world. Only business processes that are free of media discontinuities deliver the necessary added value. However, suitable interfaces are not always available. Successful E2E requires the right tools.
With Ansible, Red Hat has such a "Swiss army knife" for all eventualities. In the E-3 livestream, Peter Körner, Business Development Manager Open Hybrid Cloud SAP Solutions, Jochen Glaser, Global Head of SAP Business, and Jürgen Sommer, Global Head of SAP Alliance, discuss the E2E challenges.
