Covid 19 wild growth

We know from the past that many software tools and cloud solutions are activated by the business departments. This creative uncontrolled growth is the construction site for the SAP manager. Admittedly - sometimes the IT department needs longer to process it.
Typing in a credit card number and then booking it through your own expense report is the fastest way to cloud services. But is it strategic? Does it fit into the overall IT picture and is it compliant with the law? Fast solutions are sometimes necessary in challenging times.
Ultimately, however, SAP managers, partners and SAP itself should be trusted that a homogeneous and consistent overall concept does indeed have demonstrable added value at the end of the day. SAP is working flat out on the "Single Point of Truth" concept, or as it is called in Walldorf, "One Domain Model and Domain Driven Design". We should appreciate these efforts and encourage SAP to counter the Covid 19 proliferation.
