CA Austria boss: The challenge of Russia
Mario Reismüller has been responsible for the business of CA Technologies' Austrian country organization since 2015 and is Managing Director of CA Software Austria. In addition to his role as Country Manager for Austria, he has now taken on the position of Senior Director Sales for the CEE, SEE and Russia region.

Mario Reismüller comes from Update Software, where he was most recently responsible for the Austrian, Swiss and Eastern European markets as Country Manager Sales. Prior to that, he was Key Account Manager and then Team Leader at Xerox. Reismüller has two children with his partner. He is a graduate of the Wiener Neustadt University of Applied Sciences for Business Consulting Professions.
Rimini Street wins Gartner analyst
Rimini Street, an international provider of enterprise software products and services and independent support provider for Oracle and SAP software products, has appointed Pat Phelan as vice president of market research.
In this new role, Phelan is responsible for research across the enterprise software market, including applications and technology strategies, software vendor support, external support, IT leadership trends and IT optimization.
It also supports strategic planning, senior management discussions, business development and sales execution by providing quantitative and qualitative strategic insights to enterprise software licensees.
Phelan has more than 30 years of experience with software application packages in various industries. Immediately prior to Rimini Street, Phelan spent 18 years at global analyst firm Gartner.
There, she served as vice president of research for enterprise software and ERP products and was the lead analyst for external support for enterprise software. While at Gartner, Phelan provided research insights and advice to CIOs and IT executives on strategies and options for managing the lifecycle and cost of enterprise applications.
She has also published almost 300 research reports on numerous topics relevant to the enterprise software market.
Marketo hires SAP Chief Digital Marketing Officer
Marketo, a provider of marketing engagement, automation and attribution software, has appointed Mika Yamamoto as Global President.
A former Chief Digital Marketing Officer (CDMO) at SAP, Yamamoto brings more than 20 years of enterprise marketing experience to Marketo and will focus on delivering a best-in-class end-to-end experience to its rapidly growing base of nearly 5,000 customers worldwide, while continuing to expand the planning, engagement and measurement capabilities of the world's most powerful marketing platform.
Prior to joining Marketo, Yamamoto was the first CDMO at SAP. In this role, she drove their digital transformation by leading the strategy and execution of SAP demand generation, marketing tools and technologies, and field marketing disciplines.
Prior to joining SAP, Yamamoto founded the first Amazon Books Store in her role as Head of Marketing and Merchandising at Amazon and spent more than six years at Microsoft in various channel and product management roles, including designing and launching the first physical Microsoft Stores.
Iris Grewe becomes Head of Germany at BearingPoint
Iris Grewe is to head the Germany, Czech Republic and Romania region of management and technology consultancy BearingPoint with immediate effect. She succeeds Kiumars Hamidian, who was elected as the new Managing Partner of BearingPoint in June.
Grewe was previously Head of the Switzerland, Italy and Austria region and will retain this role. The economics graduate, who specializes in the banking and capital markets business, has been managing strategic and operational transformation and integration projects in Europe, the Asia-Pacific region and the USA for over 15 years.
After graduating and starting her career at a German Landesbank, she joined the management consultancy business in 1998. She was appointed Partner at BearingPoint in 2010. Iris Grewe has been a member of the Swiss Executive Board since 2015 and a member of the global Management Committee since 2017.
In addition to Grewe, Matthias Höhne, Global Head of Insurance, will take on the role of COO in the German management team. Matthias Loebich will take over the management of the Consumer Industries division in GCR from Hamidian. Höhne and Loebich will also retain their current functions.
SAP partner Cubeware expands management board
Cubeware is bringing a second Managing Director on board: with immediate effect, Peter Küssner will manage the BI provider together with Suresh Saligram. Küssner will be responsible for marketing, sales and operations as well as product development.
Küssner is highly experienced in setting up and developing medium-sized software providers. He worked for several years as a management consultant, including in a joint venture between Deutsche Bank and Roland Berger & Partner.
From 2006 to 2012, the industrial engineer managed Picture Management AG, which he repositioned as the cloud and SaaS provider Frinch. He led Frinch until its acquisition by ContentServ in 2016 and was subsequently responsible for the post-merger integration.
As a first step, Küssner plans to accelerate the modernization of Cubeware products and solutions. To ensure reliable support, he also wants to review internal company processes and improve them where necessary.
In the medium to long term, Küssner also envisages a Cubeware Lab in which current topics such as AI, machine learning, location of things and multicloud are researched.
Thomas Heuer is the new Senior Account Director DACH at WhereScape, the leading provider of software for data warehouse automation. Heuer has over 13 years of sales experience in IT product sales. He reports to Rob Mellor, Vice President and General Manager EMEA at WhereScape.
Johannes Michael Weiß has taken over responsibility for IT-Novum's Austrian business. As Country Manager, he is to further develop the business in Austria and expand the areas of Big Data Analytics, IT Service Management and Enterprise Information Management in particular.
Talend, a global cloud integration provider, has appointed Adam Meister as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Meister was previously Managing Director of the Technology, Media and Telecom Investment Banking Group at Goldman Sachs.
Abbyy, a provider of solutions and services for content intelligence, has appointed Christian Marquardt as its new Channel Director for the core European regions. In the role of Director of Partnerships & Alliances DACH, Benelux, France & UK, Marquardt will drive the growth of the partner business.
Snowflake Computing, a provider of a data warehouse specially developed for the cloud, has a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO): Thomas Tuchscherer. Born in Alsace, he was most recently CFO at Talend and previously held senior finance and strategy positions at SAP and Business Objects.
Wolfgang Fröhlich has been appointed authorized signatory at SAP partner Nagarro Austria. Fröhlich studied business informatics and moved to Nagarro (formerly Anecon) at the end of 2014 after more than eight years in IT management at A1 Telekom Austria.
