SAP Cloud for Manufacturing

With SAP's expertise in Industrial Internet of Things, predictive analytics and supply networks, the new solution enables the deployment of Industry 4.0 technologies in the cloud.

Cloud for Manufacturing complements and extends SAP's existing on-premise solution portfolio for digital manufacturing. The new cloud-based offering includes various solution packages for manufacturers of different sizes in the manufacturing and process industries and for the respective roles within the companies.

SAP customers can choose between two offerings Digital Manufacturing Cloud for Execution, which combines all solutions of the portfolio for digital manufacturing, and Digital Manufacturing Cloud for Analytic.

This focuses on manufacturing performance analysis, predictive quality management, and occupational safety. The SAP Cloud for Manufacturing portfolio includes the following solutions:

Digital Manufacturing Cloud for Execution: The solution for the production area is tailored to the requirements of Industry 4.0. It enables the production of individual items (batch size 1) and paperless production.

It also connects enterprise systems to assets on the shop floor, providing complete visibility at the component and material level - for both individual and global installations.

Digital Manufacturing Cloud for Insights is a centralized, data-driven manufacturing performance management application designed to enable managers to achieve solid manufacturing performance and smooth production operations.

Predictive Quality is designed to help manufacturing companies gain valuable insights so they can meet all specification requirements across processes and optimize quality management. They also gain the ability to apply predictive algorithms to reduce quality losses due to defects, errors or deviations and recommend corrective actions.

Manufacturing Networking provides a cloud-based information exchange platform that connects to Ariba solutions. It enables customers to collaborate with manufacturing service providers, such as 3D printing and CNC milling providers, material suppliers, original equipment manufacturers and technical certification companies.
