IT-SA: Trusted IT
The IT security market is growing. Accordingly, in addition to established providers, numerous small and medium-sized companies are vying for the favor of decision-makers in IT departments.
IT-SA offers them a comprehensive overview of the market. Trade visitors who are specifically looking for solutions or individual suppliers will find them on the website, as well as information on the trade fair and congress program.
The program of presentations includes 230 contributions. Among others, the Internet Industry Association Eco will provide information with a discussion panel on vulnerable web applications, a Teletrust panel on Industry 4.0 Security and the Federal Office for Information Security on the implementation status of the IT Security Act.
Max Schrems comes
Lawyer and privacy activist Maximilian Schrems, whose lawsuit against Facebook in the European Court of Justice led to the end of the Safe Harbor agreement with the U.S., will deliver the keynote address at IT-SA 2016.
In his presentation "More data protection through secure IT structures? What the new EU rules demand", he will address the significance for IT security managers of the new regulations that came into force in May. His keynote will take place on Thursday, October 20, 2016.
International program
Accompanying the trade show, at which more than 470 exhibitors are expected in Nuremberg, solution providers, associations and organizations provide information in the congress program Congress@it-sa.
Congress@it-sa offers IT security officers, decision-makers, researchers and government officials a tailored range of products and services covering all aspects of the latest developments in IT security.
The topics in the congress program include legal aspects such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation as well as specialist information, for example, on SAP, cloud and privileged account security or identity and access management.
In other events, speakers will demonstrate measures for protecting corporate IT and address the question of which security strategy is currently the right one.
For the first time, the internationally oriented EICAR Conference will be held partly parallel to IT-SA. The two-day event begins on Monday, October 17, and brings together IT security researchers and developers.
This year's, 24th edition is themed Trustworthiness of IT Security Solutions. Also one day before the trade fair, the annual conference of IT security officers in states and municipalities begins.
The central training event is being held for the fourth time at IT-SA and is aimed exclusively at federal, state and local government employees.
The Federal Office for Information Security is organizing the IT-Grundschutztag under the umbrella of Congress@it-sa.
