A digital tool for assembly and maintenance simplifies the manual assembly process by providing a link between design, assembly planning and production.

An assembly worker can digitally access all relevant information - exactly when and where he needs it. At the same time, a new IT tool from Attenio enables the employee to document all processes directly at his workplace. This not only enables him to meet the required times, but also saves paper.

While the Attenio app Tio2Do is used to visualize assembly plans, Tio2Connect is a good addition as a digital planning tool. The newly programmed application enables the creation of construction plans based on the released product data. If required, it can also be integrated into the existing ERP and PLM world - this naturally also applies to SAP solutions.

The great advantage of the collaboration platform for companies is that with Tio2Connect they can finally say goodbye to paper in order to access plans and thus lay the foundation for Work Plan 4.0. The only prerequisite for this is the existence of corresponding data or an interface to the ERP system used in the company. Many Attenio customers already rely on SAP here, but interfaces to other ERP solutions can also be easily implemented.

Assembly with cloud support

A planned cooperation between Attenio and SAP as part of SAP's cloud solution, the Asset Intelligence Network (AIN), shows how this can look in practice. In a business scenario, the service case of a bottling plant is displayed and the appropriate instructions are provided directly via the cloud. Through the interface to the cloud, the fitter or technician receives the required instructions directly on his tablet or AR data glasses.

This means that he no longer has to laboriously look up instructions in manuals or search for the right instructions in plans. Instead, in combination with the SAP system, the software directly provides the appropriate assembly steps required to solve a service case - step by step. The two apps can map the life cycle of a product and make it transparent.

As Work Plan 4.0 for the manufacturing industry, the solutions simplify the path to the digital future of Industry 4.0 in conjunction with an ERP system - both in assembly and assembly planning as well as in maintenance and repair work.
