With the switch to SAP S/4 Hana in the Microsoft Azure Cloud, Alegri is now managed with a state-of-the-art ERP system in an up-to-date environment.

A groundbreaking strategic decision

Our consultants have a wealth of experience with S/4 Hana Finance. New evaluations and requirements can be implemented at short notice, and the specialist side can be served quickly and agilely.

In addition, the new functionalities with the release 1610 of S/4 Hana are eagerly awaited. After the upgrade, we will be happy to report on the enhancements to Materials Management & Operations (MM&O, formerly Simple Logistics).

The technical consultants are now well versed in all aspects of S/4Hana on the Microsoft Azure platform. Valuable experience was gained when moving between subscriptions and optimizing costs for S/4Hana instances that are temporarily not required.

In addition, Alegri's Optimization Services have another source of data from the MS Azure Cloud. This means that, among other things, well-founded forecasts can now be made about the load behavior of existing systems in the cloud, based on real time series.

With Alegri SAP Optimization Services, it is also possible to perfect operating costs and operational quality in Microsoft Azure.

S/4 Hana Finance enables integrated financial reporting in real time, because the reconciliation work with the CO, MM and AA modules has been massively reduced, and Alegri is more than convinced by the features.

The strategic decision with regard to the SAP standard of the future requires sound knowledge, and many aspects have to be considered from multiple perspectives:

Both functional and technical challenges must be checked against the corporate and IT strategy and harmonized if necessary.

Practical experience shows how the complexity of S/4 Hana Finance topics can be reduced and possible hurdles overcome.

Flexible infrastructure through Microsoft Azure

And it is of course interesting for the SAP director to operate SAP S/4 Hana in a virtualized environment - with high infrastructure flexibility and the greatest possible agility. This is what the Microsoft Azure Cloud offered us at Alegri.

A service package based on this experience now supports clients in testing SAP S/4 Hana on Microsoft Azure. This enables a quick introduction to SAP S/4 Hana without any prior hardware investment, validation of the business processes in S/4 Hana and the conversion to SAP S/4 Hana as a real "proof of concept".

Outlook for the future

The next steps will be dedicated first and foremost to release planning, with release 1610 being a priority on the agenda.

In addition, connections to Microsoft SharePoint, among others, are planned and further business functions from the MM&O area are to be implemented productively, as the scope of the Simplification List is very promising.
