The way to the future of IT
For the 30th anniversary of the Visiondays, Valantic is presenting an extensive lecture and workshop program with 23 speakers and six workshops. Once a year, Valantic invites managing directors and IT managers to its interdisciplinary and cross-industry network to discuss topics of the future together.
A special highlight is top keynote speaker Dr Frank Biendara, Managing Director of the DFB, who will report on digitalization in soccer. Since 2017, he has been responsible for economic activities, IT and digital affairs at the German Football Association, Germany's largest sports federation with over 24,500 clubs and seven million members.
Biendara's presentation deals with the consequences of digitalization in soccer, for example the increasing individualization of Germany's favourite sport through new digital possibilities.
Today, even small clubs use the internet and social media such as Instagram and the like to provide information about their offers and activities. With "Fussball.de", the DFB itself operates a very successful amateur soccer portal. Other DFB digital initiatives include solutions for both professional and amateur sport.
Some of these are based on SAP products such as SAP Sports One for team management in the national team. Other solutions are in-house developments. Another topic is the DFBnet software solution, which can be used to map all processes from match planning to the appointment of referees.
SAP at the center
SAP solutions implemented by Valantic are also the focus of many other presentations by well-known speakers, including Sascha Marzini, Head of Supply Chain Management at Thyssenkrupp Materials Processing Europe.
Marzini discusses the joint lighthouse project with Valantic for simulation, inventory optimization and predictive analysis with SAP IBP. Matthias Doms, Head of Organizational Management at the HIPP Group, talks about the challenges in the sales and operations planning environment, "clean" processes, organization and modern IT tools.
In his presentation, Jürgen Brunner, Head of IT at food manufacturer Hochland, will discuss the right project approach for S/4 Hana and report on S/4 potential and its evaluation.
The congress starts on March 25, 2020 with keynote speeches and presentations in parallel specialist forums. On 26 March, participants will be able to choose between various practice-oriented workshops on all aspects of digitalization:
The focus here is on topics such as S/4 processes and technologies, company-wide planning and integrated business planning, integrative transport and logistics processes, data science projects and the question of whether and how open source technologies can help companies to manage digital change.
