SAP Solution: SoH

SAP postponed the maintenance end date for Buisness Suite 7 by two years from 2025 to 2027 with extended maintenance until 2030. SAP did not provide any information on the status of NetWeaver 7.2 and AnyDB. Does the offer only apply to Suite on Hana?
More and more companies are saying goodbye to manual or manual creation of the necessary SAP system copies and are instead relying on specialized software tools tailored to their needs. This is also the case for the successful food and beverage producer Spitz.
Completely out of the blue, SAP note 1648480 took SAP's existing customers by surprise. The core message of this note is the end of maintenance for the Abap and Java stacks of NetWeaver 7.5. What now?
Thousands of add-ons from SAP partners are "Powered by NetWeaver" and certified with SAP.
This famous sentence is attributed to the mathematician and astronomer Galileo Galilei (1564-1642). It was about the dispute with the Catholic Church whether the sun moves around the earth (geocentric system) or vice versa (heliocentric world view).
Are SolMan 7.2, NetWeaver, Hana 1 & 2, SoH and S/4 already digested, consolidated and customized? Probably not - right?
Once again, SAP CEO Bill McDermott is not moving fast enough. Hana and S/4 should have been ticked off and standard long ago. SAP Cloud Platform is the order of the day and Leonardo should be the revelation.
"Usually, when people hear just words, they think there must be something to think about." I think nothing when I hear SAP CEO Bill McDermott talk about "run simple".
The last will be the first. The last R/3 users who customize the promised Hana beyond 2020 will get a mature, stable version X. Everyone else is a guinea pig.
During the on-Hana system changeover, existing SAP customers with generated custom code are required to scrutinize and adapt this program data. Automation helps with this architecture-related therapy.
Those familiar with the Hana scene know what is meant by this: a scandal and political failure on the part of SAP. While Suse Linux is storming ahead, Red Hat remains in agony. The losers are primarily SAP's existing customers outside Europe.
SAP has embarked on the largest project in its more than forty-year history: the version change from a "black box" ERP to an open ERP with the in-memory computing platform Hana. For a Trusted Advisor like Atos, the key now is: enabling S/4 and Hana. Frank Scharpenberg, Head of SAP at Atos Germany, spoke about this with E-3 Editor-in-Chief Peter M. Färbinger.

Working on the SAP basis is crucial for successful S/4 conversion.

This gives the Competence Center strategic importance for existing SAP customers. Regardless of the S/4 Hana operating model, topics such as Automation, Monitoring, Security, Application Lifecycle Management and Data Management the basis for S/4 operations.

For the fourth time, E3 magazine is organizing a summit for the SAP community in Salzburg to provide comprehensive information on all aspects of S/4 Hana groundwork.
