SAP-Solution: SAP GUI

In the SAP community, the term "SAP operation on a cloud platform", i.e. SAP on Azure, is often used. At SAP and Microsoft, on the other hand, one increasingly encounters the term SAP and Azure. However, the word "and" should be clearly emphasized at this point.
Migration to S/4 Hana is on the agenda for everyone who uses SAP ERP. Such a migration is a complex project in which the authorization concept must also be adapted.
In order to test the improved procurement of S/4, there is the possibility to set up an S/4 system in front of the existing SAP landscape - and this without a cost-intensive project, change to Hana or burdening the key users.
Why do existing SAP customers want to interface with other systems at all? What is the business benefit? And how do you do the whole thing from a technical point of view without incurring more disadvantages than advantages?
Unprotected SAP interfaces open the door to hackers. Many companies are aware of this, but still do not have adequate security measures in place. What is needed are solutions with which the interfaces can be analyzed and monitored across the board.
The switch from SAP ERP Classic to Hana-based applications such as S/4 usually entails new developments for providers of SAP add-on or supplementary solutions. PBS Software is very much through with this, as shareholders Günther Reichling and Prof. Detlev Steinbinder explain in the following E3 exclusive interview.
80 percent of all information is unstructured. SAP does nothing to change that! What SAP users are missing is a 360-degree view of all information, not just the structured information.
SAP Business Suite, SAP's ERP solution, will be phased out in 2025. It is to be completely replaced by S/4 Hana. So far, innovation has been restrained. Bernd Leukert, SAP's Chief Technology Officer, has also had to admit this. He is counting on SAP partners to step out of their tried-and-true comfort zone. But what does it look like in practice?
Is SAP financing its new strategy through hidden price increases for existing customers? Some people are reminded of Harry Potter when they try to find their way unscathed up the magical stairs in Hogwarts Castle - but they suddenly and unexpectedly change direction.
With the growing electronic document input, the tasks of scan/OCR solutions are changing. In input management, the volume of documents will increasingly shift from paper to digital media in the coming years. In the future, companies will completely replace their existing software and hardware equipment or will no longer use it in this form.
The digital transformation is changing the role of the ERP system in the company. The S/4 Hana application suite, which is to form the core of digital business models, shows what the ERP of the future could look like. A critical inventory illustrates the advantages and limitations.
With the Archive Content Manager (ACM), the Henrichsen system house has now been able to close a gap in the work with the SAP and SharePoint platforms: audit-proof archiving of all incoming and outgoing documents including the link with SAP objects.

Working on the SAP basis is crucial for successful S/4 conversion.

This gives the Competence Center strategic importance for existing SAP customers. Regardless of the S/4 Hana operating model, topics such as Automation, Monitoring, Security, Application Lifecycle Management and Data Management the basis for S/4 operations.
