SAP-Solution: SAP Business Suite

Buzzwords are my topic. Why? Because my thesis is that buzzwords definitely have a right to exist - but only if they can be roughly categorized and the majority of them make sense.
Every company wants three things from their IT landscape: guaranteed continuity, increasing performance, and investment protection. Meeting all these requirements, P9 is certainly the most stable and efficient platform on the market.
The migration to S/4 Hana can take SAP customers around two to three years, depending on the size of the landscape. In addition to the technical migration, the SAP contract will also be converted. This is a great opportunity to finally clean up existing legacy issues.
SAP software, especially the utilities billing solution IS-U, is the basis for the majority of German electricity and gas billing. With the transformation of the previous ERP to S/4 Hana and the end of maintenance in 2025, the industry is currently looking to the future with many question marks.
The move to S/4 Hana is more than just an update. It requires companies to consider the business, organizational and functional requirements of the future application landscape. An individual transformation roadmap helps with prioritization.
The topic of indirect use in the context of SAP licensing is not a new one. What is new is merely how SAP SE defines it and that the company designates software licensing products that include licensing on the one hand, but exclude parts of it where applicable.
There can be no monoculture in the SAP community. SAP's success is based on a unique partner ecosystem, including database providers IBM and Oracle. SAP's existing customers have always preferred the choice.
Many companies are currently migrating to Hana. But deployment and configuration are tedious. How can these steps be completed faster and without errors? Automation can optimize processes and support migration and ongoing management.
Big Data has now become the subject of public discussion. Recently, a panel discussion held by the Association of Bavarian Business (VBW) in Bad Neustadt was devoted to the question of how big data can be refined and what opportunities arise from it. The panel included representatives from universities (TU Munich, University of Passau), industry (Siemens) and IT (FIS-ASP).
With the addition of SAP Hana to its portfolio, Rimini Street now offers support for a total of twelve SAP and Oracle product lines, representing the broadest independent service offering in the enterprise software market.
By 2025, SAP customers will have to switch to Hana if they want to use Business Suite S/4. This is no easy task, because the changeover often means a fundamental change in the IT infrastructure. What initially sounds like a lot of risks and stumbling blocks offers notable advantages.
S/4 will replace the Business Suite in the future. But S/4 is still very young. Nevertheless, companies should include the innovations in their planning now, define their long-term SAP roadmap and start taking the first steps. Can Business Suite on Hana be a helpful intermediate step?

Working on the SAP basis is crucial for successful S/4 conversion.

This gives the Competence Center strategic importance for existing SAP customers. Regardless of the S/4 Hana operating model, topics such as Automation, Monitoring, Security, Application Lifecycle Management and Data Management the basis for S/4 operations.

For the second time, E3 magazine is organizing a summit for the SAP community in Salzburg to provide comprehensive information on all aspects of S/4 Hana groundwork.
