Suse is now independent

Suse announces the creation of the largest independent open source company formed by the completed acquisition of the company from Micro Focus by growth investor EQT.

Suse now operates as an independent company. With continued momentum, portfolio expansion, and a successful go-to-market strategy, Suse is now better positioned to focus on the needs of customers and partners and support them in their digital transformation.

Management team strengthened

The now independent Suse has also strengthened its management team and created new positions to support the next phase of its continued dynamic growth.

Enrica Angelone has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer and Sander Huyts as the new Chief Operations Officer. Thomas Di Giacomo, formerly Suse's Chief Technology Officer, is now President of Engineering, Product and Innovation. All three report to Suse CEO Nils Brauckmann.

EQT's support and Suse's independent status will enable the company's further expansion.
