Support for children at risk of poverty

The past year was dominated by the corona pandemic. Children in particular suffer from the restrictions, most of which they cannot even comprehend. cbs wants to support these children and this time collected a total of 34,824 euros as part of the traditional Kids.ONE fundraising campaign.

This is a new record. This sum, donated by cbs employees and management, will be divided and distributed to the local and regional associations of the Deutscher Kinderschutzbund (DKSB) in the cities of the German cbs branches (Heidelberg, Munich, Dortmund, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Rüsselsheim, Freiburg, Bautzen).

The local association in Dortmund receives nine percent of the total (3044 euros). Heidelberg will receive just under half of the donation (16,912 euros). Part of the donation is to go towards shopping vouchers. In Munich, too, where the DKSB local association receives 15 percent of the donation (5073 euros), people are very happy about the money.

The Bavarians would like to use it to finance, among other things, the training of staff at the child and youth hotline, according to deputy managing director Sigrid Feller. Those affected can call there free of charge and anonymously, whereupon the counselors listen to them and offer advice on solving the problem in question.
