Onapsis: New Vice President Sales EMEA/APAC
Onapsis, a provider of security solutions for SAP, has a new Vice President Sales EMEA/APAC (Europe, Middle East, Africa/Asia-Pacific): In his new position, Gerhard Unger heads all sales activities in the European and Asia-Pacific economic areas.
In his new role, 53-year-old industry expert Unger will be responsible for the strategic orientation of all sales channels of the market leader for SAP security solutions. The position was newly created.

Unger was previously Director EMEA/APAC. He reports to Jake Simpson, Vice President Global Sales at Onapsis. Unger has worked in the IT and telecommunications industry for around 20 years. Before joining Onapsis, he supported Huawei Technologies as Director Global Partner Organization.
He has also previously held senior management positions at Avaya, Secure Computing, Riverbed Technologies, Expand Networks and Silver Peak Systems.
FIS expands management board
Two long-standing employees of SAP Gold Partner FIS have been in new roles since April 1, 2015: Wolfgang Ebner has been appointed Managing Director and the management team has also been strengthened by the addition of Dieter Ball.
Wolfgang Ebner is a founding member of the company and has worked at the Grafenrheinfeld site since 1992. He initially managed customer projects for Sales and Distribution, was Head of Product Design with full power of attorney and has held overall management responsibility for the "Smart Products" business unit since 2011.
As a new member of the Management Board, Dieter Ball is responsible for the overall management of the "SAP, Technical Wholesale and Industry" business unit. The industrial engineer began his career at FIS in 1995 as an SAP consultant. After holding several positions within the company, Ball was appointed Head of the Consulting SAP, Technical Wholesale & Industry department.
Frank Thonüs takes over the management of EMC Switzerland
EMC has appointed Frank Thonüs as Managing Director for Switzerland. He will take up the position on June 1, 2015 and will report to Jacques Boschung, Vice President Europe West. In his new role, Thonüs will be responsible for the strategic direction of EMC in Switzerland.
He has worked for Symantec Corporation for the last ten years, most recently as Director EMEA PACSS Region. He has also held positions such as Director Sales & New Business EMEA Central Region and Managing Director Switzerland. Prior to that, he worked at Veritas Software and Alltron.
With over 15 years of experience in the IT industry and a focus on the ICT, finance, insurance, pharmaceutical and public sectors, Thonüs has a deep understanding of the day-to-day challenges faced by some of Switzerland's largest industries and the IT solutions to meet them.
Markus Wambach is a partner at MHP
Markus Wambach has been one of a total of 13 partners at MHP since January 2015. After working as a consultant at CSC Ploenzke, PWC and IBM, the business graduate has been working for the management and IT consultancy MHP since 2004.
In addition to working on numerous customer projects, Wambach has held various positions, most notably in the development of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) division - most recently as Associated Partner and Head of the SCM Service Unit. He was also instrumental in setting up the Nuremberg site.
"My main task is to set up MHP's organization in the area of supply chain management in a flexible and future-oriented way. We start by advising management in the specialist areas, derive the right processes from this and then implement them with the help of IT. More and more customers expect such an approach"
says Wambach.
Pavel Duda new head of ECR's Supply working group
Pavel Duda was elected as the new Head of the Supply Working Group by the ECR Board. ECR Austria (Efficient Consumer Response) is an initiative for cooperation between manufacturers and retailers aimed at reducing costs and better satisfying consumer needs.
Duda is Center Manager DACH Food & Beverage at Plaut. He is an experienced manager and business consultant. At Plaut, Pavel Duda is currently working on the new product "PLMIV - the Plaut solution for the Food Information Regulation".
"With the PLMIV product, we are targeting manufacturing companies and food retailers that have to implement the new EU regulation and use SAP. With PLMIV, they can manage their FIR data in their existing SAP system and link it to their article master data"
he explains.
Algorithm professor at HPI: Chance makes it possible
At the Hasso Plattner Institute for Software Systems Engineering (HPI) at the University of Potsdam, Tobias Friedrich has taken over as head of the newly created Algorithm Engineering department.
In research and teaching, HPI's tenth department in the field of IT systems engineering will focus primarily on the theoretical foundations. For example, it deals with the question of what a computer can and cannot do in principle.

explained the new HPI professor. According to Friedrich, "a well-dosed amount of chance" is also necessary for communication in social networks in order to enable the rapid dissemination of information.
Eberhard Macziol has moved to Wilken. The co-founder of Fritz & Macziol and Infoma will be responsible for corporate development at Wilken. The company employs over 500 people and achieved a turnover of around 58 million euros in 2014. Macziol will also take over ERP sales.
Udo Bungert takes over the management of the new business unit "SAP and Process Consulting for Industry 4.0" at Profi AG. A former Ernst & Young partner, Bungert has over 25 years of experience in SAP industry consulting. A graduate in business administration, he has worked at IDS Scheer and J&M Management, among others.
Seeburger is expanding its Management Board as a result of its expansion. As CTO, Matthias Feßenbecker will drive forward B2B/BIS development. As CCO (Chief Cloud Officer), Martin Kuntz is responsible for strategically important cloud and web development. As CFO, Friedemann Heinz is responsible for accounting, finance and taxes.
Kevin Hu (Chinese name: Hu Kewen) is CEO of Huawei Germany with immediate effect. He assumes responsibility for all of the company's business activities in Germany. Hu has been working for the telecommunications company since 1999. Among other things, he was President of the IP Product Line VP of the Fixed Networks Product Line.
The international law firm Simmons & Simmons is further expanding its IT law practice: Christopher Götz joins the Munich office. Götz specializes in advising on IT, IP and data protection law issues. His areas of expertise include IT and outsourcing projects and license agreements.
enning Lohmann is taking over as Head of Sales and Business Development at Eyeled, an SAP partner in the field of mobile app development. He was previously responsible for the retail, consumer goods and service provider sectors at IDS Scheer Consulting.
