SAP consultant strengthens cbs management
The management consultancy cbs Corporate Business Solutions is once again expanding its management team. Oliver Dorsner joins the management team of the Heidelberg-based SAP consultancy.
The business graduate is the sixth member of the cbs management team, alongside founder and CEO Harald Sulovsky, Holger Scheel (Director Sales & Marketing), Rainer Wittwen (Consulting Director Landscape Transformation/Financials), Stefan Risse (International Rollouts) and Markus Geib (Globalization, IoT).
Dorsner graduated in business administration from the Justus Liebig University in Giessen. In 1999, he joined cbs in the Sales & Distribution division. Dorsner subsequently worked as a process consultant, SAP expert and project manager in global transformation projects and international SAP rollouts.
In 2005, he took over the management of the SAP Competence Center Customer Relations & Sales Management. From 2007, Dorsner was jointly responsible for the Globalization business area. He also helped to establish the Munich site.
Later, as Consulting Director, Dorsner also took over management of the cbs offices in Stuttgart and Zurich. Dorsner is also responsible for the company's own project methodology M-cbs and its further development.
Since 2015, the SAP expert has been responsible for the Management Consulting business area. He is responsible for the special consulting offering "cbs S/4 Hana Transition Program", which enables companies to prepare for the transition to the new SAP world.
T-Systems International appoints new CEO
Adel B. Al-Saleh will become a new member of Deutsche Telekom's Board of Management and CEO of T-Systems International as of January 1, 2018.
Al-Saleh succeeds Reinhard Clemens, who - as already announced - is leaving Deutsche Telekom at the end of the year. Until recently, Adel Al-Saleh was Chief Executive Officer of the Northgate Information Solutions (NIS) Group.
He joined there in December 2011 and was responsible for the growth of one of the leading global software vendors and technology service providers within the Northgate Group (NGA Human Resources, Northgate Public Services and Northgate Managed Services).
Private equity firm KKR acquired NIS in 2008 and brought Al-Saleh to NIS in late 2011. His role there was to develop an economic recovery strategy and drive a value creation program across all three of Northgate's businesses.
From 2012 to 2017, Al-Saleh was responsible for the transformation of NIS Group.Prior to joining Northgate, Al-Saleh held various management positions at IMS Health, a healthcare informatics provider.
He spent his first 19 professional years working for IBM in various management positions. Most recently, he was Vice President and General Manager, Sales and Industries, IBM Northeast Europe Integrated Operating Team.
Al-Saleh received his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Boston University in 1987 and his business administration degree from Florida Atlantic University in 1990.
SAP division at Axians ICT Austria under new management
Markus Morell took over as head of the SAP business unit at Axians in October 2017.
In addition to further expanding the successful business with existing customers, Markus Morell and his SAP team will support Austrian customers in digitizing their SAP business processes.
Another focus will be supporting existing and new customers in their transformation to S/4 Hana, where Morell will bring his many years of SAP transformation expertise to bear.
Born in Vienna, he previously successfully established and expanded the SAP area at T-Systems Austria and Accenture. In recent years, he has supported various national and international customers in creating their S/4 Hana roadmap.
Morell studied Computer Studies at the University of Derby in the UK, is married and has two sons. Axians ICT Austria is one of the leading companies for enterprise IT in Austria.
The portfolio ranges from infrastructure solutions with components from leading manufacturers to application know-how and solutions in the SAP, logistics and retail sectors.
SAP Global Business Operations
As of January 1, 2018, SAP is introducing the new Executive Board division Global Business Operations and appointing Christian Klein, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of SAP, to the Executive Board.
Klein will retain this role, but in the future he will be responsible for ensuring even closer integration of all corporate divisions and a high-performance IT organization as part of his Executive Board responsibilities.
Global Business Operations coordinates all SAP internal run-simple activities and is expected to drive the simplification of core business processes and align them with the cloud and platform strategy.
With the expansion of the Executive Board, SAP is accelerating its transformation into a cloud company. The goal is a more powerful corporate organization that creates greater internal agility and makes SAP fit for digitization. Klein had been COO of SAP since April 2016.
His tasks included optimizing internal processes and setting up an automated and integrated internal Group IT infrastructure. In parallel, he was responsible for the SAP Group's controlling. Klein joined SAP in 1999 as a student. He holds a degree from the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University in Mannheim.
Jörg Petzhold is head of marketing at Matrix42
Jörg Petzhold has taken over the position of Vice President Marketing at Matrix42, one of the providers of workspace management software.
In this role, he is responsible for the international marketing strategy and the marketing of the entire product portfolio. Petzhold has led the international marketing team at Matrix42 since September 1, 2017.
He is responsible for the company's go-to-market strategy in existing and future markets. Petzhold joins Matrix42 from SNP Schneider-Neureither & Partner, where he supported the company's global growth trajectory on the marketing side over the past five years.
Prior to that, he was responsible for building up the SAS Institute marketing division in Germany as Manager Industry & Solution Marketing.

Thomas Volk will become President and General Manager on the Management Board of cloud and IT service provider Cancom at the beginning of November. He previously worked as a senior advisor for the investment company Lincoln. In addition to Thomas Volk, Thomas Stark, currently CFO, is to be appointed to the Management Board.
Christine Bhosale has been the new human resources manager at Bavarian CRM manufacturer Adito since September. She has been working in HR for around ten years. Most recently, she was HR Manager in Cleveland, Ohio. She also brings international experience from her studies in Singapore and the USA.
Veeam Software, a provider of solutions for the availability of the always-on enterprise, has appointed Kate Hutchison as chief marketing officer. She will lead Veeam's global marketing efforts. She reports to Peter McKay, co-CEO and president of Veeam.
Lexmark International, a provider of printing and imaging solutions, has appointed Richard Geruson as its new president and chief executive officer. Geruson assumes his new position effective immediately and will also serve on the Lexmark Board of Directors.
Eric Niedling is head of SAP consulting at BI and analytics consultant Mayato. He works, among others, for the pharmaceutical group Novartis and the service and retail group DKSH, where he was responsible for the global BI strategy with SAP BI, BW and Hana as Director Group Business Intelligence in Kuala Lumpur.
Stefan Züger has been the new VP Sales & Service at T-Systems Switzerland since the beginning of November and is thus a member of the Executive Board. In the past, he has demonstrated his expertise in the areas of sales, pre-sales and service at Palo Alto Networks, Dell EMC, Data General and Credit Suisse, among others.
