Stable IT hourly rates

The number of freelance IT and engineering experts whose hourly rate is currently lower than in their last project assignment rose by 11.2 percentage points compared with the 2014 evaluation.
At the same time, the proportion of respondents for whom the fee remained the same fell from 33.2 to 19.8 percent. With regard to the question of how the personal hourly rate will develop in 2015 according to the respondents' own statements, the surveyed results remained relatively stable compared to the previous year.
A slight decline of 3 percentage points was recorded only among the group that said it would raise this figure in the current year. While this figure was still 48 percent in 2014, only 45 percent now made such a forecast.
The proportion of those who see a constant value increased only minimally from 47.9 to 49.8 percent. In the current survey, 5.2 percent saw the need to lower their own hourly rate. In the previous year, this figure was 4.1 percent.
The 2015 hourly rate survey will continue for a few more weeks. IT and engineering freelancers can continue to contribute their personal assessments and empirical values.
