Small, Müller, Saueressig

Bill is gone and SAP has a new dual leadership team: Jennifer Morgan and Christian Klein. The two of them have a lot of work ahead of them - and not just because they now have to take over Bill McDermott's preparations for Capital Markets Day on November 12 at SAP's New York City office.

So it was logical that at least the new co-CEO Christian Klein would need further support in consolidating, integrating and harmonizing SAP's cloud wonderland.

At this year's DSAG Congress in Nuremberg, Christian Klein already showed that he can work very well with Thomas Saueressig. Saueressig, previously responsible for SAP Product Engineering, has been Christian Klein's colleague on the Executive Board since the end of October.

This means that there are three members of the Executive Board at SAP headquarters in Walldorf who also have a technical agenda, are young and are an excellent fit: Christian Klein, Thomas Saueressig, and Chief Technology Officer Jürgen Müller, who just completed a highly acclaimed SAP TechEd keynote in Las Vegas, USA, and in Barcelona, Spain, that was praised by analysts.

This concentrated force of competence and energy should succeed in cleaning up after the party. SAP's existing customers are waiting for concrete proposals from the three board members: On-premises has its justification, "Cloud First" is an announcement, Hana is a challenge in terms of stability and size.

There are many construction sites and open questions at SAP! The three board members, Klein, Müller and Saueressig, are a good answer - unfortunately Björn Goerke and Franz Färber are missing.
