Privacy? No way!
Pegasus is a remote access tool (RAT) with spyware properties. Its Android variants can extract data from popular messenger platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook and Viber as well as email programs and browsers.
The spyware is able to remotely monitor the user's screen via microphone and camera, create screenshots, record the smartphone owner's entries via keylogging and thus spy on unknowing people. Obviously, Pegasus is used in a very targeted manner, because unlike spyware, which is often widely used to capture masses of user data, Pegasus is not very widespread and is only used on a small number of people - apparently for surveillance purposes.
However, the minimal spread of spyware does not make it any less dangerous, as the damage to privacy for each individual who is monitored is certainly enormous.
