Sustainable Insurance
The vast majority of consumers in Austria, Germany and Switzerland expect a high level of commitment from their insurance company when it comes to sustainability. Transparency and traceability are also of particular importance from the customer's point of view, as the latest sentiment barometer from management and technology consultancy BearingPoint shows.
When asked about the most important issues for them, investments in environmental protection and sustainable projects are at the top of the list. Honesty and transparency also play a very important role for consumers.
When it comes to money, for many insurance customers the desire for more sustainability seems to end with a lower return. For example, 53% of Germans, 49% of Austrians and 47% of Swiss state that they do not want to buy an insurance product that may promise a lower return due to its sustainable orientation.
