Ariba on course for growth

More and more buyers and suppliers from all over the world are relying on SAP Ariba to digitize their purchasing processes. During the second quarter ending June 30, SAP recorded a 33 percent increase in new cloud bookings - a result that can be attributed in particular to the sharp rise in cloud bookings with SAP Ariba. "The role of procurement today is to help the business become more agile, simplify the buying experience and automate business-to-business commerce as much as possible," explains Alex Atzberger, President of SAP Ariba. "This is not possible with a patchwork of individual solutions that were only designed as cost-cutting measures. Companies need an integrated end-to-end offering that combines the convenience and agility of cloud applications with the power of enterprise applications and the connectivity, intelligence and global reach of open business networks."
