Converged infrastructure for critical SAP applications
Pure Storage, an independent provider of all-flash data platforms for the cloud era, has won a new customer, Valley Proteins, the market leader in foodservice waste recycling. Valley Proteins uses a FlashStack converged infrastructure from Cisco Systems and Pure Storage to host its mission-critical SAP applications. Valley Proteins transports hundreds of millions of gallons of used cooking oil and other byproducts each year for reuse. The company uses SAP as the cornerstone of its business, tracking materials, inventory, vehicle locations and maintenance in real time. The company's goal is to maximize the efficiency of its 40 processing and transportation facilities and private truck fleet. Everything ultimately depends on SAP, whether it's a holistic view of customer value, supplier pricing or individual site performance. In this way, SAP supports decision-making within the company.
