Hana Hacking Contest
White-collar crime is a major challenge for companies. Hacking contests are designed to raise students' awareness of IT systems and auditing as well as the methods used by white-collar criminals.
The White Collar Hacking Contest recently held at the TU Munich (Chair of Information Systems) was sponsored by Celonis, a start-up founded by former TU students.
The contest participants had to work with Hana and try to embezzle money from an imaginary company. Using Celonis Process Mining, the students were able to reconstruct the digital traces in the ERP system and thus determine the embezzled money of the other teams.
