Open Industry 4.0 Alliance
Networking the majority and diversity of machines in a smart factory - that is the aim of the "Open Industry 4.0 Alliance" initiative. It is an alliance of companies from the mechanical engineering and industrial automation sectors and SAP.
Itelligence joined the alliance in August 2019 as one of the first partners at application level. The Open Industry 4.0 Alliance promises an open, standards-based and compatible range of solutions and consulting services and is intended to cover the entire journey from the object on the shop floor to service.
Users can choose from a modular, compatible and scalable range of solutions and services. These are based on the core competencies of the alliance members and offer the option of choosing between suppliers to the discrete and process technology industry in a manufacturer-neutral manner.
The Open Industry 4.0 Alliance's offering consists of the four building blocks Device Connectivity, Edge, Operator Cloud and Cloud Central as well as an associated range of services and applies worldwide.
The founding members include the companies Beckhoff, Endress+Hauser, Hilscher, ifm, Kuka, Multivac and SAP.
