Arrays accelerate entry into hybrid cloud
According to a study conducted by IDG Research Services on behalf of NetApp, IT departments currently provide more than 60 percent of their IT services in their own data center (on-premise) and without cloud components.
In the next three years, this share is expected to shrink to 35%. At the same time, the proportion of services based on hybrid cloud infrastructures is expected to more than triple.
The new NetApp All-Flash FAS 8000 flash storage systems are increasingly being used by customers who are restructuring their data centers on the way to the cloud. The storage system is now one of the fastest growing products in NetApp's history.
New support services and a smaller all-flash FAS model (AFF) are now designed to help customers and partners get started with the hybrid cloud.
