"Q" against annoyed managers
Lengthy management meetings with presentations that are difficult to understand and data that is not up to date - this "annoys" managers. The Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) has therefore developed a solution for how decision-makers in companies can work better in the future: with a new type of software system including a special meeting environment in the form of a cockpit.
The whole thing was designed by HPI students together with fellow students from Stanford University and a German company. "The Q", as the prototype is called, consists of a special table that can accommodate up to eight decision-makers.
Above them hangs a cube with eight screens, two on each side. This provides the decision-makers with important data in a simple graphic form. This means that no display can interfere with direct eye contact between the meeting participants.
