Global data protection certification
SAP has been certified by the British Standards Institution (BSI) for its processes relating to data protection and the handling of personal data.
This makes SAP one of the first companies to achieve global certification in accordance with the BS 10012:2017 standard, which outlines the core requirements that companies must take into account when collecting, storing, processing, retaining or disposing of personal data.
The certification confirms that SAP's internal processes meet the requirements of the BS 10012:2017 standard and are therefore compliant with the GDPR.
SAP CFO Luka Mucic says:
"Data protection is a top priority at SAP. The current development is not new to us, it is already part of our DNA. The certification by BSI proves that our certified internal processes already meet the requirements of the GDPR. Our teams are very proud that we comply with one of the strictest data protection standards."
