Security in the home office? In short supply
More than 50 percent of employees working from home in Germany use insecure private devices to access company systems. This is the result of the "Remote Work" study commissioned by Cyberark. The increased use of home office also increases the risks to business-critical systems and confidential data.
The new Cyberark study "Remote Work" examines the security situation in Germany, France, the UK and the USA, for example with regard to the use of passwords or the use of company devices by family members. In Germany, 54 percent of remote workers use unmanaged, insecure private devices for occasional or regular access to company systems.
31% use communication and collaboration tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams, which have recently been reported to have security vulnerabilities. The study shows that working parents in particular pose a threat to corporate security.
