Emergency User Management

Realtime complements its APM suite for GRC-compliant SAP authorization management with a new module for secure emergency user management. APM Rescuer enables seamless auditing of the use of emergency users in SAP. The transparency created in this way prevents possible misuse of comprehensive authorizations from the outset. The new SAP add-on has been available since September 2016. "Specially set up emergency users with universal superuser authorizations are too often used in an uncontrolled manner," knows Thomas Latajka, authorized signatory and member of the Realtime management team. "Central problems are the lack of monitoring of the emergency user's activities and the often unclear regulation of the application process. In addition, it is usually not possible to completely document who has carried out which transactions with the emergency user and why and when. Our new APM Rescuer solution provides the necessary transparency and control of the emergency user and thus significantly increases security in the company."
