SAP Connected Parking
SAP has presented a solution designed to simplify the management of parking spaces for cars, motorcycles and trucks. The IoT solution uses smart devices, cloud and big data technologies in parking space management.
SAP Connected Parking provides parking lot operators with the digital tools to identify available parking spaces across locations, release them for reservation, display availability status in real time and improve the utilization, monitoring and efficiency of their parking spaces.
Two companies have contributed to the development of the solution as technology partners: Designa Verkehrsleittechnik, which has signed an agreement to integrate the solution into its parking management systems and facilities, and Bosch Service Solutions, which recently announced the integration with its Bosch Secure Truck Parking solution.
"SAP supports customers on their journey to becoming a digital enterprise, and IoT has the potential to become one of the most important growth drivers where business value is generated."
"SAP Connected Parking is a great example of how companies operating self-service terminals can leverage SAP and its partners' expertise in IoT, cloud and application development to transform their business model and the parking experience for drivers of all types of vehicles."
explained Tanja Rückert, Executive Vice President, LoB Digital Assets & IoT at SAP.
